Most likely your kids may be riding the bus to school, but either way, you will be driving them around to sporting events, school events, etc. With that said, is your family car back to school ready?

In the summer months, it's easy to just have what you need in the car for fun family trips. But when school is back in session, it's time to equip the car properly internally and externally to make for a great new school year.

For external and car maintenance, be sure to have your car checked under the hood. For example, be sure your engine oil, coolant, transmission, brake and power steering fluid is at proper levels. Thankfully the owner's manual should relay this information if you are uncertain. Be sure to also check your car tires. Is it time to rotate or update? Check your cars lights , etc.

For back to school ready, make sure to have additional items in the vehicle like notebooks, pencils, folders, first aid kit, healthy snacks, bottled water, etc., to make for easy transitions. Having extra school supplies is handy when you hear "I forgot my pencils" or I don't have any tissue. You can keep all of these items in a container in your trunk or in a container in the backseat by the chair pouches. Whatever is easiest for you. Be sure to always replenish so that you always have extras.
