The Ferrari 812 Competizione is what happens when Ferrari looks at the already bonkers 812 Superfast and says, No. Not mad enough. So they take the V12, remove what little restraint it had left, and wind it all the way up to 9,500 rpm. At full chat it does not make a noise so much as it detonates the surrounding countryside. Birds fall out of trees. Small children suddenly learn Italian.
Then Ferrari deletes the rear window and replaces it with a panel covered in vortex generators, because clearly seeing out is far less important than sticking to the road like a caffeinated gecko. This tells you everything.
It is lighter, angrier, sharper, and about as subtle as a chainsaw in a library. A front-engined Ferrari that behaves like a track car, screams like an F1 car, and feels like it might try to kill you if you show it even a hint of disrespect.
In other words, it is completely, utterly magnificent.
