All-New 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The 2022 Grand Cherokee delivers unrivaled capability along with composed on-road driving dynamics. This outstanding SUV offers three 4x4 systems, Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II, with a rear electronic limited-slip differential. All three of these unique systems have an active transfer case to improve traction by moving torque to work with the wheel with the most grip. Jeep's class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension is now available on the Grand Cherokee. This system offers electronic semi-active damping, delivers up to class-leading 11.3 inches of ground clearance and 24 inches of water fording. The system will automatically adjust the shock tuning to changing road conditions for enhanced comfort, stability, and control, or can be controlled manually with console controls, and features five height settings for optimum ride performance. The new Grand Cherokee 4x4 comes with an automatic front-axle disconnect. Suppose the systems sense that road conditions do not require an all-wheel drive. In that case, the front-axle disconnect automatically places the Grand Cherokee in a two-wheel drive, reducing drag on the driveline and improving fuel economy. The four-wheel-drive systems will automatically re-engage when the vehicle senses it is needed.

The all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk takes the Grand Cherokee's 4x4 capability to the next level. The Trailhawk comes standard with all-terrain tires, integrated off-road camera, Quadra-Lift air suspension with up to 11.3 inches of ground clearance, improved approach, departure, breakover angles, etc. Quadra-Drive II active transfer case with rear eLSD and Selec-Terrain. The Trailhawk is easily spotted thanks to the Red tow hooks, 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and a Glare-proof black-and-red matte "Trailhawk" hood decal.

The 2022 Grand Cherokee comes standard with an all-aluminum 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, rated at 293 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This acclaimed engine is a seven-time winner of the Wards 10 Best Engines and Propulsion Systems award. The Pentastar V-6 engine is compact, with features such as exhaust manifolds integrated into the cylinder heads. In addition, the Jeep's fuel-saving engine start-stop technology is standard on the Pentastar V-6. For a quick launch, this system has been upgraded for 2022 with a pressure reserve element in the eight-speed transmission, which provides dedicated transmission fluid to the shift elements at engine restart. With this powertrain, the Grand Cherokee has a towing capacity of up to 6,200 pounds.  For those who need more power, there is the award-winning 5.7-liter V-8, rated at 357 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque delivered over a broad powerband. The V-8 provides performance and efficiency with VVT and Fuel Saver Technology. This system allows the engine to shut down unneeded cylinders. The 5.7-liter V-8 has a class-leading towing capacity of up to 7,200 pounds.

The all-new Grand Cherokee has been designed with a slim, sculpted exterior that delivers a more modern and updated premium appearance for the most luxurious Grand Cherokee ever. The roof has been lowered and tapered to improve aerodynamic, performance, and efficiency. The lowered beltline and expansive glass allow more light into the cabin and increase outward visibility. The iconic seven-slot grille has been enlarged and widened, and the front fascia has been updated to help conceal a long-range radar and other advanced technology features. In addition, new active grille shutters, front-wheel spats, air curtains, hood aero flick, lowered roofline, and rear vertical-pillar spoilers improve on-road performance and fuel efficiency all come standard.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee's next-generation interior features handcrafted materials and modern amenities. For example, the front panel features new slim HVAC vents, a realigned center stack for greater driver accessibility, a 10.1-inch digital screen, a segment-first available 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display, and a new high-definition rear-seat entertainment system FireTV built-in. In addition, the front driver and passenger seat features a length-adjustable cushion and seatback massage.
