5 Travel Tips for Adults

If you are a parent, you probably already do some major planning before a road trip to pack everything your kids might need to make the long drive a more pleasant one. Before you go, have you considered packing a few things to make the trip more bearable for yourself? Just like kids, adults also need things to keep them entertained and comfortable on a long trip. Before you head out on your next long drive, consider packing some of these items to make your trip better.

1.Reading Material- If you love to read, catching up on some good books while you ride can be a great way to pass the time. Pack up your books, magazine, or e-readers to indulge in a little downtime while you ride.

2.Snacks- You know how cranky kids can get when they are hungry. The same can also be said for adults. If your travels take you to remote areas where places to stop and grab a bite are few and far between, pack yourself some snacks and drinks to tide you over.

3.Music- If you're tired of hearing kid tunes coming from the back seat or the driver has hijacked the vehicle radio, bring along your personal mp3 player and some earbuds to hear the music you want to listen to. It just might save your sanity.

4.Blanket- Just as you want to keep your little ones comfortable and warm, bringing a small blanket for yourself is a good idea, especially if you're sitting up front near the air conditioner vents. You and the driver may not see eye to eye when it comes to personal air comfort levels.

5.Earplugs- OK, I'm kidding. However, if grabbing a little shuteye while the kids watch videos in the back and the driver insists on keeping the car radio going, these could come in quite handy to get some peaceful rest while the miles pass.
